Bruce “Biff” Reed Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Bruce “Biff” Reed Scholarship Fund is to promote and support geologic research in Alaska by providing aid to graduate students pursuing studies in Alaska. Biff’s longstanding interest and research focused on the tectonic and magmatic evolution of Alaska and its mineral deposits, and applicants whose studies are broadly consistent with these Alaska subjects should be given priority consideration over applicants equally well qualified who are involved in other geologic research. One recipient should be accepted each year that Fund income is sufficient.
